¡¡FLOWER FAIR!!

This flower fair is a traditional and collective event that is celebrated during 10 days in Medellín, Colombia. This festival is the most emblematic celebration of the city, which constitutes a cultural, cultural and historical icon, such as for example the Rio Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, the October fest in Bavaria, Germany , Or in Colombia also the Fair of Manizales, the Carnival of Barranquilla, the Fair of Cali or the Carnival of Blacks and Whites in San Juan de Pasto. The carnival environment that Medellín lives during these days offers a diversity of events and shows, not all the subjects directly in the flowers, but all the fun takes that general name of Fair of the flowers that are in the main frame of the carnival, At the same time they offer the most eye-catching and beautiful shows and scenes, in addition to being unique in the world.

Every year, thousands of people meet around this festival, designed to remember, exalt and perpetuate the values ​​of Antioquia. The festival has the intimate paisa's culture character, and celebrates the flowering and customs of the caste and the regional race and, in general, the whole life of the region. The activities that give life to the flower fair are multiple. There are more than 450 festive events, including the musical tablados by all the districts of the city, especially the most popular ones. This is also the case, among others, of the activities called arrieros mulas y fondas, the Parade of Silleteros, and two years ago banned "Cabalgata".
